Slippage

The difference between the expected price of a trade and the actual executed price, often occurring during periods of high volatility or low liquidity.

To put it in plain English

Like trying to buy an item online that shows $10, but by the time you click 'purchase,' the price has changed to $10.50 due to high demand.
